African Darter
African Jacana
The male and female mate, the female lays eggs, and then leaves, off to mate with another male.  The male sits on the eggs and then looks after the chicks until they are old enough to look after themselves.  When there is danger or it's cold, the chicks crawl up into the dad's feathers, and he can walk and even swim with them tucked up against his body!  You can see the "extra" legs at the front of his body.
